A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Tierce in pairle Gules, Argent, and Azure; in chief a mullet Sable fimbriated and charged with the Alpha and the Omega interlaced Or, in base a terrestrial globe of the like. Attached over top of the shield is a Gold scroll inscribed "WITHOUT" in Black letters, on dexter side is a Gold scroll inscribed with "HESITATION" in Black letters and on sinister side is a Gold scroll inscribed with "OR FEAR" in Black letters.
The scarlet, white, and blue shield are the colors of our National Flag and Army Materiel Command, both of which the Battalion proudly serves. The black and yellow (gold) colors refer to colors the United States Army uses on its logo. The star spanning over the top of the globe represents the Battalion's contingency contracting capabilities in support of the Warfighter around the world. The Alpha and Omega refers to the contracting process to all classes of supply and services necessary for mission success. The motto "WITHOUT HESITATION OR FEAR" is the way the unit will support the Warfighter on and off the field of battle.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 4 May 2007.
